Dealer FoundationsSee all →
What everyone in the business needs to understand — the terms, the numbers, and how the pieces fit together — whatever their department or role.
Revenue IntelligenceSee all →
The demand side of the business — customers, sales, pricing and what’s actually moving — and what the numbers say before the month closes.
  • A pegboard parts wall next to the parts counter, stocked with trimmer line, trimmer heads, belts and packaged parts, with a run of empty hooks in the middle where an item has sold out.

The Sale You Never Saw

The sales report only shows the demand you captured. The customer who left empty-handed never appears on it.

Operations IntelligenceSee all →
Service, inventory and purchasing: whether the business can deliver what it sold, at the cost it planned.
  • A full shrink-wrapped pallet of identical unopened cartons standing in a stockroom aisle between steel shelving.

Need, Want, and Vendor Pressure

Every purchase order should answer one question: why are we buying this? Often the right response is not less, but better planned.

Administration IntelligenceSee all →
The financial and administrative work that turns a month of activity into numbers you can trust.
Executive IntelligenceSee all →
The owner’s chair — leadership, succession and exit. The decisions that only get made once.
Loss PreventionSee all →
The pillar that runs through all the others: where value leaks out, and how it’s found.
  • A receiving area inside an open roller door, a pallet of cartons with the top one opened and a clipboard resting on it, a dented box set beside it, parts shelving and the service bays beyond.

Shrink Isn’t Only Theft

When the count comes up short, theft is the first thought. Often the stock was never there, or it left without anyone recording it. Sort the cause before you act.

  • A small dealership back office with two separate desks, one holding a tray of invoices, an envelope and a printing calculator, the other a binder and a stamp, a closed safe cabinet in the corner and the sales floor through the doorway.

Trust Is Not a Control

Controls are not a judgment about anyone. They are a judgment about whether one person could move money and hide it, and they protect the people you trust most.

Recognize any of this in your own business?

Reading about it is one thing. Working out which of it applies to you is another.
