What you can engage us for.
Three things, built to work together and available separately. Start with one, take two, or run all three — none of them requires the others, and none is held back because you didn’t buy the rest. What decides it is what the business needs, not what order somebody says you have to go in.
What each one is, and how much of it you take
None of them is a fixed package, and the smallest useful version is a real option. Whichever you start with, the subject matter is the same — revenue, operations, administration, and the owner’s view of the business.
Reads the data your business already produces, measures it against what good looks like, and hands you a ranked list of what to do — each item with a plain reason and a number attached.
Take it as reporting. The grades, the exceptions, what each problem is costing and a ranked set of actions — produced from your own data and delivered to you, with an output you can import into the system you already run. Enough on its own for a retailer who wants the answer and doesn’t want another application to log into.
Or take the application. The same math with the process built around it — working a list rather than reading one, and keeping a permanent record of what was decided and when.
Same answer either way. Which suits you is a question of how you want to work.
Hands-on work across revenue, operations, administration and the owner’s view of the business — including the parts of an operation no software can see, like who decides what and whether it actually gets done. Done alongside your team, inside your business, not delivered as a report from outside it.
Scoped to what you are trying to fix.
A system conversion is the one specialty with a shape of its own — six phases, each with something that has to be true before the project is allowed to move on, and six ways in, from a one-time readiness review to someone on your side of the table the whole way through. Education for the people who run the counter, the service department and the back office — fundamentals first, then how to read what your numbers are telling you, then the practices that keep it working. Your team learns the discipline, not just a screen.
Delivered around the shop, in the gaps you actually have. The aim is for you to need us less over time, not more, which is why it is offered alongside the software and the advisory work instead of being sold as an afterthought.
Scope and price are confirmed in writing before any work begins. That holds for all three. What moves the number is different in each case, which is why it is scoped and agreed before we start.
What one of these turned up
A four-season outdoor power equipment dealer, benchmarked against its peers, priced right at the regional averages. A normal, well-run shop — not a turnaround.
Roughly 590 under-priced parts, turning daily, each one a few cents short. No extra inventory, no new customers, no additional machines sold. Earning that same $54,000 through equipment would have taken about 80 more units.
Found by Margin Intelligence. Estimates come from the dealer’s own cost and sales data and are labelled as estimates — what you recover depends on what you act on.
No required order, and no required bundle
Some businesses run all three from the start, and that is the fullest version of what ProfitEdge is for. Others take one and add the next when it earns its place — the software first and the advisory work later, or the reverse. You can start anywhere, and stop after one if that is all the business needs.
What holds them together is that they are built on the same frameworks. The training teaches the discipline, the software applies it to your own numbers, and the advisory work goes after the causes underneath — including the ones no application can see. That is what the word Systems is doing in the name.
A software company can’t bolt on the teaching. A consultancy can’t bolt on the application. Having all three in one place is what keeps an improvement in place once the engagement is over.
That is the more common starting point, and it is a question about your situation. Start with how we help →
